What qualifications you will need: The Physician Office Scheduler is responsible for answering incoming phone calls, scheduling patient appointments in the registration system, insurance verification, routing calls and communicating to the appropriate department or physician offices. In this role you will: Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner Schedules all patient appointments for physician practices including cancellations and changes Insurance verification and verification of patient demographics Select accurate insurance carrier plans and informs the patient of any carrier that is out of network Provides Good Faith Estimates (GFE) upon patient request Inform the physician office staff or patient of any testing requirements according to the instructions and queries in the scheduling module Ensure that any edits are performed in the scheduling module Ensure all required information is accurate and complete in the scheduling module Work closely with the physician office staff to ensure that pre-cert/authorization numbers are entered in the scheduling or registration system as needed Select the correct patient medical record number consistently Utilize appropriate method/tool to communicate with Physician offices as necessary Qualifications: One year of related experience highly preferred Previous patient scheduling experience highly preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and others as required Schedule: 8:30 am to 5 pm EST: Monday to Friday Position is located in Savannah GA - will be working onsite with the possibility of a hybrid position in the coming months Benefits Parallon offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
