Job Summary and Qualifications What qualifications you will need:The Physician Office Scheduler is responsible for answering incoming phone calls, scheduling patient appointments in the registration system, insurance verification, routing calls and communicating to the appropriate department or physician offices.In this role you will:Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional mannerSchedules all patient appointments for physician practices including cancellations and changesInsurance verification and verification of patient demographicsSelect accurate insurance carrier plans and informs the patient of any carrier that is out of networkProvides Good Faith Estimates (GFE) upon patient requestInform the physician office staff or patient of any testing requirements according to theinstructions and queries in the scheduling moduleEnsure that any edits are performed in the scheduling moduleEnsure all required information is accurate and complete in the scheduling moduleWork closely with the physician office staff to ensure that pre-cert/authorization numbers are entered in the scheduling or registration system as neededSelect the correct patient medical record number consistentlyUtilize appropriate method/tool to communicate with Physician offices as necessaryQualifications:One year of related experience preferredPrevious patient scheduling experience preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office applications and others as requiredBenefits Memorial Health - Savannah Cardiology, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
