Position Overview:


Sutter Lakeside is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Outpatient Oncology Physician to join our patient centered cancer care team. This role is ideal for a physician who is committed to delivering high quality care, supporting patients through diagnosis and treatment, and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team.


Job Description :


Core Responsibilities


+ Conduct comprehensive evaluations for new oncology patients.

+ Assess patient history, labs, imaging, and pathology to formulate accurate diagnoses.

+ Develop and manage individualized treatment plans based on evidence‑based care.

+ Enter and manage Beacon infusion orders , including updates and modifications.

+ Provide ongoing monitoring through scheduled follow‑up visits.

+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care delivery.

+ Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.


Qualifications


+ MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

+ Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology or Hematology/Oncology.

+ Active California medical license (or ability to obtain).

Sutter Lakeside Hospital is nestled in the beautiful mountain ranges of Lake County and is a 25-bed critical access hospital. The critical access designation by the federal government ensures access to healthcare services for residents of rural communities. Sutter Lakeside is the only trauma center and certified stroke center in Lake County and is accredited by The Joint Commission. EDUCATION:

Doctorate: Graduate of an accredited medical school

Other: Successful completion of a medical residency program.


TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:


5 years recent relevant experience.


CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

MD-Doctor of Medicine Upon Hire

OR DO-Doctor of Osteopathy of California Upon Hire

CSRC-Controlled Substance Registered Certification (DEA) Upon Hire

BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Upon Hire

Board eligible or Board certified in area of specialty Upon Hire

ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire

NRP-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider Upon Hire
