Physician - Medical Oncology

Job Details:

• Board Certifications required in Oncology and Hematology
• 
  
• See 20-25 patients per day in a hospital inpatient service setting
• 
  
• Experience and comfort level required with inpatient malignant medical oncology patients and all ranges of hematology consults
• 
  
• Manage both malignant and benign oncology cases
• 
  
• Lead medical oncology team, supervise Advanced Practice Providers, and manage all new inpatient consults
• 
  
• Support staff includes 1 APP Monday through Friday and 1 APP on weekends to assist with the busier service
• 
  
• Inpatient schedule runs Monday 8:00 AM to following Monday 8:00 AM, with flexible scheduling available
• 
  
• 8-10 hour inpatient days with overnight call conducted from home for medical oncology-specific calls only
• 
  
• Outpatient coverage available for both hematology and medical oncology, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no call requirements
• 
  
• Same-day documentation expected for inpatient service; outpatient documentation required within 3 days maximum
• 
  
• Nurse triage service and hospitalist available with minimal call volume
• 
  
• Epic charting system proficiency required
• 
  
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• 
  
• BLS or ACLS certification required
• 
  
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
