    Job Duties:

    The Department of Oral Surgery at Geisinger, a national leader in quality, innovation, research and education, is seeking BC/BE oral surgeons at Geisinger Wyoming Valley in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. The successful candidates will join a full scope OMFS practice with a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care with plastics, ENT and trauma.  The practice has a special emphasis on orofacial trauma, corrective jaw surgery, cleft palate, TMJ and reconstructive surgery.  This is a fantastic opportunities for a new graduate or experienced oral surgeons to teach residents and perform research.  The region offers a hassle-free community living allowing for a balanced professional career and a fulfilling personal lifestyle while in close proximity to NYC and Philadelphia.

      Position Details:

      Provides care to patients and can recognize, diagnose and treat injuries and/or illnesses. Examines patients. Takes medical histories. Prescribes medications and orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic tests. Counsels patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare. May provide treatment by methods of including preventative measures, drugs and surgery.

      Education:

      Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine- (Required)

      Experience:

      Certification(s) and License(s):

      Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD, DDS) - State of Pennsylvania

      Skills:
