    Description:

    Baptist Health Medical Group (BHMG), part of Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF), the largest healthcare organization in the South Florida region with medical practices spanning from Key West to Palm Beach, is seeking to employ an Orthopedic Surgeon to join its well-established program at its Baptist Health Orthopedic Care (BHOC), which has been awarded four High Performing Hospitals ratings from U.S. News & World Report (2025-2026) for orthopedics, knee replacement, hip replacement and hip fracture.  BHOC brings together board-certified fellowship-trained physicians in nine orthopedic subspecialties delivering comprehensive care and has performed more than 12,000 surgeries annually.  Engaged in 15 sports medicine partnerships, BHOC provides care for athletes from the Miami HEAT, Miami Dolphins, Florida Panthers, InterMiami CF, Florida International University, Florida Atlantic University, Orange Bowl, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Miami Open Tennis and Miami Marathon & Half Marathon.

    We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon to join our Key West practice and provide comprehensive orthopedic care to the growing regional population.  As the practice is in beautiful Key West, Florida, a housing stipend is offered for this opportunity.

    Qualifications:

    • Medical degree (MD or DO)
    • Completion of a 5-year accredited orthopedic surgery residency. Fellowship trained preferred.
    • Training in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of musculoskeletal conditions
    • Board-certified or board-eligible in orthopedic surgery (American Orthopedic Society)
    • Eligible for unrestricted Florida Medical License

    Expectations:

    • Provide and manage a broad range of orthopedic cases
    • Participate in emergency department Orthopedic call coverage
    • Have strong fracture-management skills
    • Willing to build long-term relationships within the community
    • Participate in outreach clinics and community health initiatives
    • Strong patient satisfaction and communication skills
