Job Summary:

Develops relationships with physicians to develop & grow business. Increases referrals to specialist physicians, in turn increasing revenue and referrals to the regional hospital affiliates. Educates area physicians about the capabilities provided by the specialists and affiliate hospitals. Educates referral drivers about identified procedures by regularly calling on their offices to include schedulers and practice administrators. Identifies target physicians in each geographic area that would be a referral/revenue driver to the facilities and specialty physicians. Develops and maintains strong alliances with referring community . Analyzes referral patterns and research and develop new business through strategic planning.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Bachelor''s Degree: Preferred
  • Five years'' related experience: Preferred
  • Five years'' sales experience in healthcare: Preferred

Essential Functions:

  • Implements and manages to sales plan, strategies and objectives for assigned territory. Develops and manages prospect list and overall territory database. Makes face to face contacts and presentations to physicians, UM's, UR's, referral coordinators, etc.
  • Develops and coordinates presentations to obtain referrals and acute level transfers. Arranges and leads presentations by and to targeted specialist. Makes ongoing sales calls as required to build new business.
  • Meets quarterly goals as established in the sales plan. Works the account at all levels to uncover opportunities. Establishes a clear understanding of the customers priorities and overall goals.
  • Meets with and develops allies within accounts to build trust and credibility. Participates in meetings and communications between customer and AH. Uncovers strategic alliance opportunities and manage them from inception to completion.
  • Delivers on promises. Provides evidence of unique services and solutions. Follows through on each step of the sales cycle to demonstrate value and continue to build credibility. Determines ways to provide the customer with a greater value proposition, either in time, money or resource savings .
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
