Job Details:

• Full-time Pediatric Anesthesiologist position providing hospital-based anesthesia coverage
• 
  
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• 
  
• Hospital-based operating room setting
• 
  
• Average of 50-60 surgical cases per day
• 
  
• Mix of practicing solo and supervising CRNAs in a care team model
• 
  
• Patient age demographic ranges from neonatal to adult
• 
  
• Provides anesthesia services for the full array of surgeries including neonatal surgery, pediatric surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, dental, GI, and radiology (excludes cardiac surgery, cath lab, and transplant surgery)
• 
  
• 14 operating rooms with a collegial team of RNs, surgical techs, PCAs, surgeons, and proceduralists
• 
  
• ACS Level 1 Trauma Center with an annual ER volume of 70,000
• 
  
• Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Pediatric Anesthesiology required
• 
  
• Completed Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship required
• 
  
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• 
  
• Active Ohio license required (IMLC not accepted)
• 
  
• Required procedures include general surgical cases (neonatal, pediatric, and adult), thoracic cases (except open heart), complex orthopedic cases, neurosurgical cases, and ventilation management
• 
  
• Preferred skills include insertion of arterial lines and evaluation and management of acute volume/blood pressure issues
• 
  
• Travel reimbursement includes mileage at IRS standard rate, rental car, hotel, and flight
