Physician - Pediatrician

The Pediatric Center of Southwest Louisiana is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pediatrician to join our thriving, well-established private practice in a full-time capacity. We serve the vibrant communities of Southwest Louisiana with three state-of-the-art office locations in Lake Charles, Sulphur, and Moss Bluff. As a physician-led group focused on clinical excellence and a supportive team culture, we offer a balance of high-volume clinical practice and an exceptional quality of life.

The Opportunity

• Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
• Locations: Lake Charles, Sulphur, and Moss Bluff, LA (Physicians may rotate or be primarily based out of a primary site).
• Work Schedule: 4.5-day workweek. Clinic hours generally run Monday through Friday with shared, rotating weekend clinic coverage.
• Call Schedule: Shared equally among our team of providers. Inpatient responsibilities are strictly limited to well-baby newborn rounding. No NICU coverage and no delivery attendance required.
• Practice Environment: Join a large, robust team of pediatricians and advanced practice providers (NPs/PAs). Our facilities feature integrated resources like in-house laboratories, X-ray capabilities, and pharmacy services to maximize efficient patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, full-spectrum pediatric care from newborns through adolescence.
• Conduct routine well-child exams, developmental screenings, and immunizations.
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, chronic pediatric conditions, and minor injuries.
• Manage inpatient newborn nursery rounding on a rotating basis.
• Maintain precise and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
• Collaborate closely with our multi-provider team and local medical specialists to ensure seamless continuity of care.

 Candidate Requirements

• Education: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
• Training: Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency program.
• Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Pediatrics.
• Licensure: Eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted Louisiana Medical License and a valid DEA registration.
• Certifications: Current NRP and CPR certifications are highly encouraged.
• Experience: Open to experienced pediatricians as well as enthusiastic graduating residents.
