Physician - Hospitalist - Pediatrics

Job Details:

• Drive-in candidates only; no fly-in candidates accepted
• 
  
• Coverage dates must include weekend coverage
• 
  
• Up to 15 days per month spread over 2 to 3 weekends per month with flexibility for awarded locum provider(s)
• 
  
• Call only position with 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM shifts
• 
  
• Patient encounters per shift: 4 to 8 patients
• 
  
• Department beds: 3 Pediatric and 14 Nursery
• 
  
• Board certification required; minimum board certification eligible accepted
• 
  
• Required certifications: ABLS, BLS, and PALS
• 
  
• Trauma Level 3 facility
• 
  
• Required pediatric procedures include inpatient care, attending C-sections and deliveries, non-invasive ventilation management (BiPAP/CPAP), ventilation management (acute and chronic), intubation (newborn and pediatric), and central line placement
• 
  
• Preferred experience with PICU, Nursery Level I, and Nursery Level II/NICU
• 
  
• 24-hour support services available on-site include anesthesia, catheterization lab, general surgery, laboratory, OR, orthopedic surgery, and radiology
• 
  
• Fellowship required
