Job Details:

• Locum Tenens opportunity covering a 32-bed department
• 
  
• Expected patient encounters of 25-30 patients per shift
• 
  
• Board certification required with minimum board certification eligibility accepted
• 
  
• BLS certification required
• 
  
• Trauma Level 3 facility
• 
  
• Critical care practice setting covering medical cases including cardiac arrest/failure, respiratory arrest/failure, sepsis, metabolic disorders, renal failure, and overdose/poisoning
• 
  
• Surgical coverage required including pre- and post-operative general, vascular, orthopedic, neuro, and cardio/thoracic cases
• 
  
• Ventilation management required including invasive (ETT/NT/Tracheostomy) and non-invasive (BiPAP/CPAP)
• 
  
• Chest tube insertion required
• 
  
• Preferred procedures include insertion of PA catheter, IABP, temporary pacemaker, ICP evaluation and management, dialysis catheter placement, and diagnostic/therapeutic taps
• 
  
• Preferred pulmonary procedures include central line insertion, arterial line insertion, thoracentesis, and bronchoscopy (diagnostic and therapeutic)
• 
  
• Fellowship requirement of 2 years

The facility features a robust critical care department with 32 beds and supports a wide range of medical and surgical specialties. As a Level 3 trauma center, the facility is equipped to handle a diverse patient population requiring advanced pulmonary and critical care services.
