    Description

    Opportunity:

    Physician - Radiation Oncology


    Job Details:

    • Flexible schedule with one month on and one month off rotation

    • Call schedule is once every four weeks

    • Comprehensive cancer center with Medical and Gynecological Oncology services all under one roof

    • Regional cancer center serving a draw area of 1.3 million people

    • Typical day is 9 hours with overtime applicable after 9 hours

    • Expect two to three consults per day with 15 to 20 patient encounters per day consisting of follow-ups and treatment visits

    • Attendance at tumor board is required

    • Equipment includes an all Varian site with 2 linacs (TrueBeam and Trilogy), 1 Siemens Go Sim CT, Aria Electronic Medical Record, and Eclipse treatment planning system

    • Staffing includes 1 on-site dosimetrist, two remote dosimetrists, 2 on-site physicists, and 3.8 radiation therapists

    • Daily on-treatment volumes range from 25 to 30 patients

    • Preferred skills include Linear Accelerator, RapidArc/VMAT, Electrons, IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, Conventional/Conformal Therapy, and Hyper Altered Fractionation

    • Preferred treatment planning skills include Conventional Treatment Planning, Beam Shaping (MLC), 3D CRT, IMRT, PET CT or MRI Image Fusion, Electronic Portal Imaging (EPI), and Clinical Trials

    • Board certification required with a minimum of board certification eligible

    • BLS certification required

    • Fellowship required

The center brings together a multidisciplinary team of specialists including Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, and Gynecological Oncology professionals, all operating under one roof. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and a dedicated, experienced support staff to deliver high-quality, progressive cancer care to a large regional population.
