Physician - Radiology - Breast Only

Job Details:

• On-site breast imaging coverage required, 2-3 days per week, 2-4 weeks per month
• 
  
• Fellowship trained radiologist required to support screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI
• 
  
• Proficiency in image-guided procedures required, including biopsies, localizations, and aspirations
• 
  
• Must be highly knowledgeable in BI-RADS and MQSA requirements
• 
  
• Detail-oriented reporting and ability to manage same-day diagnostic workups required
• 
  
• Strong patient-facing communication skills essential, as results and procedures are often discussed directly with patients
• 
  
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, clinic-based environment while collaborating closely with technologists, nurses, surgeons, and oncology teams
• 
  
• Screening Mammography comprises approximately 45-55% of workload (about 35-40 per shift), Diagnostics 25-35%, and Procedures 15-25%
• 
  
• Expected patient encounters per shift: 40-50
• 
  
• Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• 
  
• Board certification required
• 
  
• BLS certification required

This facility is a full-service acute care hospital serving the Detroit metropolitan area, offering a broad range of medical and surgical services. The hospital operates as a Level 2 trauma center with a Level 1 pediatric designation, supporting a high-acuity patient population across multiple specialties. The radiology department utilizes Cerner EMR and is in the process of transitioning from Change Health PACS to Sectra PACS, reflecting the facility's ongoing commitment to modernizing its technology infrastructure.
