Physician - Radiology - Breast Only

Job Details:

• Fellowship trained on-site radiologist coverage for 2-3 days per week, 2-4 weeks per month
• 
  
• Support screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI
• 
  
• Perform image-guided procedures including biopsies, localizations, and aspirations
• 
  
• Must be highly knowledgeable in BI-RADS and MQSA requirements
• 
  
• Detail-oriented reporting and comfortable managing same-day diagnostic workups
• 
  
• Strong patient-facing communication skills essential for discussing results and procedures directly with patients
• 
  
• Work efficiently in fast-paced, clinic-based environment
• 
  
• Collaborate closely with technologists, nurses, surgeons, and oncology teams
• 
  
• Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• 
  
• Patient encounters per shift: 40-50
• 
  
• Screening mammography 45-55%, diagnostics 25-35%, procedures 15-25%
• 
  
• Must be board certified and fellowship trained
• 
  
• BLS certification required
• 
  
• Local candidates only at this time

This major healthcare facility operates as a Level 2 trauma center with comprehensive medical services and a Level 1 pediatric facility. The organization utilizes modern technology including Change Health PACS (transitioning to Sectra PACS) and Cerner EMR systems. The breast imaging department serves a high patient volume with state-of-the-art equipment and a collaborative multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
