    Job Summary

    Responsible for developing and executing comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract, recruit, and retain highly qualified physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) in support of the organization''s strategic and operational goals. This role manages the full-cycle recruitment process, partners closely with physician leadership and hiring managers, and ensures an exceptional candidate experience while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and organizational policies. Serves as a trusted advisor to leaders by providing market intelligence, workforce planning support, and recruitment consultation to ensure timely placement of high-quality providers.

    Job Specific Duties

    • Manages the full-cycle recruitment process for employed physicians and advanced practice providers from requisition through onboarding.
    • Partners with physician leaders, department chairs, medical directors, and operational leadership to understand workforce needs and develop recruitment strategies.
    • Develops and implements proactive sourcing strategies utilizing professional associations, networking, conferences, residency and fellowship programs, physician databases, and social media.
    • Builds and maintains a robust pipeline of qualified physician and APP candidates for current and future hiring needs.
    • Screens candidates to assess qualifications, clinical experience, cultural fit, and organizational alignment.
    • Coordinate interviews, site visits, candidate itineraries, travel arrangements, and stakeholder communications, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
    • Facilitates candidate negotiations, including employment offers, compensation coordination, and contract execution in partnership with Compensations, Physician Enterprise, and Legal.
    • Maintains regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process to ensure a positive candidate experience.
    • Collaborates with credentialing, onboarding, relocation, immigration, and medical staff services to support a seamless transition for newly hired providers.
    • In collaboration with the Sr. Physician Recruiter maintains accurate recruitment data within the applicant tracking system and prepares reports on recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, pipeline activity, source effectiveness, and vacancy status.
    • Monitors physician recruitment market trends, compensation benchmarks, and workforce shortages to provide strategic recommendations.
    • Ensures recruitment activities comply with employment laws, organizational policies, and healthcare regulations.
    • Collaborates with the Sr. Physician Recruiter on physician recruitment events, residency fairs, networking events, and industry meetings to promote the organization and develop candidate relationships.
    • Assists in onboarding activities for a smooth transition to the organization and a positive candidate experience.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Job Requirements

    • Bachelor''s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (OR) 7+ years of recruitment experience
    • 3-5 years of experience as a physician recruiter with full cycle recruitment, preferably in a fast paced high volume environment

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Experience in an academic medical center, children''s hospital, or integrated healthcare system preferred.
    • Thorough knowledge of physician recruitment practices, healthcare workforce trends, and provider compensation models.
    • Knowledge of physician immigration processes (J-1, H-1B, Conrad 30, etc.).
    • Strong understanding of physician specialties, credentialing processes, and healthcare organizational structures.
    • Excellent relationship-building, networking, and consultative communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively engage physician candidates and senior physician leadership.
    • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
    • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities with strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously while meeting recruitment timelines.
    • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and recruitment technologies.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret recruitment metrics and recommend process improvements.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
