Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (R)
- Master's Degree (P)
Experience:
Previous healthcare, sales, marketing, or recruiting background is preferred with specific knowledge of the medical/physician community. Knowledge of the physician credentialing process, a plus.
Superior marketing and public relations skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally to present practice opportunities in a positive manner.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior grammar and proofreading skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization. Demonstrate a professional and adaptable demeanor with internal and external clients, including physicians, administrators, peers, and support staff.
Exhibit a high energy level, and demonstrate the ability to work as a team, with flexibility in work habits to schedule and meet the needs of the medical staff.
Proven track record of exceptional customer service skills.
The ability to multi-task, planning and prioritizing a large volume of detail-oriented work in accordance with changing deadlines.
The ability to work with minimum supervision, set priorities, and follow through to accomplish results.
Strong computer technology skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office.
Demonstrated ability to conduct Internet research in an efficient, productive manner.

Key Responsibilities:
The Physician Recruitment Specialist will support the growth of New York Presbyterian by assisting the in-house Senior Director of Physician Recruitment with the logistics of the recruitment and onboarding process to result in the successful placement of physician candidates.

Develops and maintains working knowledge of the health system and regional communities to assist with candidate inquiries.
Works with the in-house physician recruitment team to profile positions and develop practice opportunity descriptions. Attends physician recruitment/business development meetings, physician onboarding meetings, and Physician Recruitment functions, as needed.
Works closely with physician recruitment team to enhance the physician recruitment experience.
Manages the physician recruitment database in order to maintain status of all candidates and searches.
Coordination and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Maintains a weekly status list of all active searches. Provides ad hoc reports, as needed.
Assist in-house physician recruitment team with candidate interview process, as needed to include telephone coordination and confirmation with both the candidate and the client.
Assembles and distributes all collateral materials for physician recruitment program.
Assists with academic appointments and contracts.
Assists the in-house physician recruitment team with the facilitation of the site visit for the physician candidate and spouse/significant other. This may include but is not limited to planning for travel, lodging, meals, and welcome gift, developing itineraries for physician and spouse and providing transportation, as needed.
Develops and maintains an effective working knowledge of local physician employment agreements, employment process, offer packages, compensation and benefits to answer candidate questions as needed.
Establishes high reach work objectives, personally tracks and reports on performance.
Provides input into the physician recruitment program budget. Manages costs effectively, audits and submits expenses for approval and payment.
Works with the physician recruitment team to assist the marketing, regional development and physician recruitment teams to fully develop a high impact, local physician website. Assists in the design, order, stocking of physician recruitment literature, packets, and brochures, as needed.
Continually develops and improves upon processes, procedures, policies and techniques to recruit and onboard physicians. Maintains up to date knowledge and compliance with federal and state fair employment laws and guidelines, credentialing guidelines and other applicable regulations that impact physician recruitment and onboarding.
Assists with the onboarding of physicians, including all pre-boarding and onboarding activities.
Coordination and partnership with WCM & Columbia Medical College for new hire academic appointment applications.
Manages coordination of the New Physician Welcome.
Assists with candidate reimbursement process for incidental expenses incurred by candidate or spouse.
