Duration: 12+ months Long Term Contract (Part time)
Job Description:
Must be physically located within the US.
Estimated 10-15 hours per week with increases when covering for leave of other physicians.
Part time position.
Responsibility:
Will review prior authorization requests for medical services to determine medical necessity. All review and decisioning is performed via electronic review.
Will be required to be available for peer-to-peer reviews that may be requested based on negative action.
May be required to participate in a Fair Hearing should a negative action be appealed to explain the medical review process and decision making.
Supported by a Medical Director and a team of physicians doing similar work.
Experience:
10+ Years relevant experience is required.
Education:
Physician with an unrestricted license to practice as MD or DO in the US.
