Connected Health Care, a premier healthcare recruitment and staffing firm, is partnering with a leading healthcare facility in Bishop, California to hire an experienced Travel Physician Assistant (PA) Orthopedic Surgery. This exciting 13-week travel assignment offers the opportunity to work alongside a skilled orthopedic surgery team while earning up to $6,000 per week based on experience.

Assist orthopedic surgeons during surgical procedures as a First Assist
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat orthopedic patients in clinic and hospital settings
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations
Manage pre-operative and post-operative orthopedic care
Order and interpret imaging studies, laboratory tests, and diagnostic procedures
Apply splints, braces, casts, and other orthopedic devices
Perform joint injections, wound care, and minor orthopedic procedures within scope of practice
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery expectations
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR)
Deliver exceptional patient-centered orthopedic care
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
Current California Physician Assistant License (Required)
Active DEA License (Required)
Current BLS Certification (Required)
NCCPA Certification
Minimum of one year of Physician Assistant experience
Three (3) years of Orthopedic Surgery experience is highly preferred
Previous First Assist experience preferred
Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills
