Job Details:

• 24-hour call coverage position with a 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM shift schedule
• 
  
• Physicians are not required to remain on-site but must be able to respond and be on-site within 20 minutes
• 
  
• Typically 2-4 calls per night with 1-2 expected on-site call-ins
• 
  
• Average of 2-5 inpatient encounters per 24-hour period
• 
  
• Average on-site call-back hours expected: 2-4 hours per day
• 
  
• If assignment is strictly 24-hour call: 2-4 hours per day of rounding with remaining hours on-call with call-back
• 
  
• Responsible for rounding on new admissions and any inpatient who requires rounding
• 
  
• Common procedures include kidney stone management, consults on CBI, stent placements, hematuria management, and difficult catheter placements
• 
  
• Patient consults and transfer/consult questions expected while on call
• 
  
• Board certification required (minimum certified level)
• 
  
• General urology experience with adult patients required
• 
  
• Ureteroscopy experience required
• 
  
• Laparoscopic surgery experience preferred
• 
  
• Nephrectomy experience preferred
• 
  
• Pediatric urology not required

This is a Level 2 trauma center providing comprehensive inpatient and surgical services to the surrounding region. The facility supports a full urology program including inpatient rounding, surgical procedures, and call coverage. The organization is equipped to handle a wide range of urological cases and maintains high standards for physician documentation and patient care.
