Physician - Urology
Job Details:
- Provide bread and butter urology coverage in clinic and on call for up to 12 months
- Clinic hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with night call from 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM and 24-hour call from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM on a 1:6 rotation
- Minimum of 3 months of locum coverage required with a minimum of 5-6 days of call plus clinic per month
- See 20-25 patients per day in clinic with 20-30 surgeries per month
- Perform general urology procedures including cystoscopy, vasectomies, prostate biopsy, TURP, uroflow/cuff, bladder scans, ureteroscopy, nephrectomy, cystectomy, ESWL, and Botox injections
- Robot available on-site for cases as needed; robotic procedures not required
- Call volume consists of 20% new consults and 80% established patients returning to the ED
- Hospitalist team present for admissions; locum will round on patients
- EMR system is Epic
- Support staff includes 2 RNs, a medical assistant, surgery scheduler, and 2 front office staff
- Must be comfortable working as the sole provider in a fast-paced and busy department
- Board Certified (highly preferred) or truly board eligible (within 0-5 years of residency completion)
- Active WA license highly preferred; IMLC with letter of qualification in hand at time of submission also considered
- Active ACLS, BLS, and DEA required
