Position Overview
The Physician Assistant will serve as a clinic medical provider, performing both clinical and administrative responsibilities. This role requires knowledge of office systems, healthcare regulations, interdepartmental functions, and insurance standards to deliver seamless patient services in a primary care setting.
Job Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care across a wide range of patient age groups
  • Conduct physical exams, order diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications as appropriate
  • Maintain professionalism, courtesy, and responsiveness to patients, coworkers, and supervisors
  • Support and collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure quality care delivery
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient information
  • Ensure compliance with attendance, licensure, and clinic regulations
  • Participate in staff meetings, committees, and special projects as needed
  • Assist with the development and implementation of clinic policies and procedures
  • Engage in continuous learning to advance skills and knowledge
Education and Certification Requirements
  • Possession of a valid California license as a Physician Assistant
  • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • DEA license (unrestricted)
  • NPI number required
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
  • Previous experience in primary care or underserved communities preferred
