Overview
Client is seeking a PI Vision Migration Engineer to support the conversion of legacy PI ProcessBook displays to PI Vision across multiple manufacturing sites. This role will focus on migrating, validating, standardizing, and optimizing process visualization dashboards while maintaining critical monitoring and reporting capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have experience with AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System technologies, industrial process data, and manufacturing operations. This position requires close collaboration with operations teams, process engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate and effective dashboard migration and deployment.
Core Responsibilities
• Inventory and assess existing PI ProcessBook displays across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Convert PI ProcessBook displays to PI Vision while preserving functionality, usability, and data integrity.
• Validate migrated displays to ensure the accuracy of process data, calculations, trends, and visualizations.
• Collaborate with process engineers, operations personnel, and subject matter experts to gather requirements and support business needs.
• Standardize display formats, navigation structures, naming conventions, and visualization practices across sites.
• Identify opportunities to improve dashboard design, performance, and user experience during migration activities.
• Develop and enhance PI Vision dashboards used for operations management, KPI tracking, and performance monitoring.
• Document migration activities, standards, best practices, and conversion decisions.
• Troubleshoot PI Vision display issues, data references, and user access concerns.
• Support user acceptance testing and provide guidance during deployment activities.
• Track migration progress and communicate project status to stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
• Experience with AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System technologies.
• Experience developing or supporting PI ProcessBook and/or PI Vision displays.
• Experience with PI Vision and PI ProcessBook migration projects, including dashboard development and validation activities.
• Understanding of process data historians, industrial process data, KPIs, trends, and data visualization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision while supporting multiple stakeholders and sites.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills or Experience
• Experience with PI Asset Framework (AF).
• Experience developing advanced PI Vision dashboards.
• Knowledge of manufacturing performance systems, including OEE, downtime tracking, SPC, batch monitoring, or Tier management processes.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations, process engineering, production monitoring, or related environments.
Work Details
• Onsite.
• Monday through Friday schedule.
• Standard work hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
