District Family Liaison - (07/2026)
Position Summary: The District Family Liaison plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive school environment. As a bridge between families, the school, and the broader community, the Liaison helps strengthen relationships that foster student success and bring Waltham Public Schools' vision for Family and Community Engagement to life through trust, collaboration, and shared purpose. This role ensures families have the information, resources, and connections needed to support their children's learning and well-being. The Family Liaison provides outreach, referrals, and advocacy-especially for families facing barriers to access-and helps cultivate a strong sense of belonging within the school community. In addition to their school-based work, each Liaison contributes to districtwide efforts by participating in monthly Family Engagement Team meetings and events that advance equity and engagement across Waltham Public Schools.

Salary: $55,000-$65,000

Qualifications and Skills: -Bilingual ( Spanish/English ) Strong interpersonal skills: able to communicate effectively with district staff and parents via email, phone and in person -Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality -Effective Collaborator -Computer skills (email, Google Docs)
Bachelor Degree Preferred
