Picture Framer - Woodworking

Skyframe is looking for a skilled and passionate Picture Framer with a woodworking background to join our team in Hillside, NJ. Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and assemble custom picture frames using wood and other materials
• Operate woodworking tools and equipment including saws, joiners, and routers safely and efficiently
• Fit and mount artwork, photos, and prints into finished frames with precision
• Sand, finish, and stain wood frames to meet quality and aesthetic standards
• Interpret customer orders and design specifications to deliver accurate results
• Inspect finished products for quality control before delivery or display
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment

Requirements:

• Prior experience in picture framing, carpentry, or woodworking required
• Proficiency with hand tools and power woodworking equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship and quality
• Ability to read and follow measurements, blueprints, or order specifications accurately
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials of varying weights
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Experience with mat cutting or glass fitting is a plus
