Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Solutions Architect with strong full-stack and integration experience to support the design, development, deployment, and ongoing support of Passenger Information Display Systems (PIDS) across station environments.
This role combines architecture, software engineering, and infrastructure expertise, ensuring real-time passenger signage systems are highly available, scalable, and fully integrated with backend data systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end PIDS system architecture (frontend, backend, integration layers).
• Develop and support real-time data-driven applications for passenger display systems.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices supporting PIDS functionality.
• Support deployment and integration of digital signage systems across stations.
• Provide O&M support for new and legacy PIDS platforms.
• Troubleshoot across application, infrastructure, and network layers in production.
• Integrate systems using messaging/streaming platforms and real-time data feeds.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, infrastructure teams, and vendors.
• Support onsite validation, deployment, and issue resolution.

Required Technical Skills
Full-Stack Development

• Strong proficiency in: Java, JavaScript / TypeScript, SQL.
• Experience with modern frameworks: Angular or React, Node.js
• Experience building enterprise-grade applications (frontend + backend).

Backend & API Development

• Hands-on experience with Spring / Spring Boot.
• RESTful API design and development.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and application integration patterns.

Streaming & Integration

• Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Building and supporting real-time, event-driven systems.

Cloud & DevOps

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient with Git/version control systems.

Systems, OS & Networking

• Deep knowledge of Linux operating systems and scripting/automation.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols: DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, SNMP.
• Experience with firewalls (iptables, firewalld) and network troubleshooting.

Architecture & Core CS Fundamentals

• Strong understanding of data structures, design patterns, and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of information systems and application architecture.

Domain Expertise (Highly Preferred)

• Experience with Passenger Information Display Systems (PIDS).
• Digital signage platforms.
• Transportation/rail environments (e.g., station systems).
