Practice safe crew, vessel and tow operation using Ingram safety systems and policies. Participate in safety drills and audits. Supervise the Mate and Deckhands in consultation with the Captain and shore-based leadership. Assure safe and efficient vessel navigation through compliance with the "rules of the road." Practice good seamanship and boat handling skills. Comply and ensure the crew is complying with USCG and environmental laws and regulations. Demonstrate felt leadership. Delegate vessel responsibilities, duties and tasks considering crew members position and ability. Assist with crew evaluations. Assist in training of deck crew. Steer tow up and down river. Perform other related duties as assigned.
