Job Summary
Sigma Systems is seeking a Pilot Plant Operator to support pilot plant campaigns in a GMP manufacturing environment in Ridgefield, CT. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with bulk manufacturing, GMP procedures, manufacturing equipment, batch records, calculations, and process troubleshooting.
This position is well suited for candidates with experience as a Pilot Plant Operator, Manufacturing Technician, Process Technician, Production Technician, or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician who are comfortable working in a regulated environment and following strict safety and quality procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Follow the direction of the Lead Client Technician during pilot plant manufacturing campaigns.
Work closely with plant technicians and campaign managers to identify and resolve process and equipment-related challenges.
Assist the BI Lead Technician with communicating batch status to chemists, Ch.D. Analytical, MAS, and other relevant teams.
Complete all required training within established deadlines.
Participate in daily team meetings, including 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM meetings.
Develop proficiency in pilot plant equipment operation, batch record entries, and manufacturing calculations.
Attend PSOR meetings, actively participate, and provide relevant input.
Follow all established GMP procedures, SOPs, safety requirements, and PPE guidelines.
Promptly report incidents, including spills, exposures, cuts, abrasions, or other safety events, to management.
Perform all manufacturing activities with safety as the highest priority.
Maintain accurate documentation and follow established manufacturing processes and procedures.
Assist with troubleshooting equipment and process issues as needed.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma/GED required; Associate degree preferred.
Previous experience working with GMP procedures.
Experience in bulk manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, or a similar regulated production environment.
Technical knowledge of manufacturing systems, methods, and procedures.
Hands-on experience operating manufacturing or processing equipment.
Strong equipment and process troubleshooting skills.
Ability to accurately complete batch records, calculations, and production documentation.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional manufacturing team.
Commitment to maintaining a strong safety-first mindset.
