A Pilot Plant Technician will be responsible for preparing sample fruit preparations as well as ensuring standards are met in the relevant production and storage areas.  

Key accountabilities: 

Pilot Plant Cooking: 

• Cook approximately 9 samples of fruit preparations daily according to established procedures 

• Adjust cook formulas to specifications detailed on the procedure  

• Perform quality testing on customer sample batches: pH and Brix 

• Operate, clean and maintain pilot scale equipment as part of daily tasks 

• Support the New Product Development Team leaders by reporting any issues concerning materials, equipment and ability to meet objectives  

• Participate in internal or cross functional projects as team members 

• Maintain accurate records of run conditions; including analytical data, process data, and labeling 

Inventory: 

• Maintain proper inventory levels to par quantities 

• Pull raw materials needed for next day’s schedule 

Sanitation: 

• Perform scheduled sanitation tasks  

• Maintain clean, sanitary and safe pilot plant environment ensuring compliance to GMP, GLP, FDA and internal quality standards 

Required Skills: 

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required 

• English Language Fluency with reading, writing, and speaking 

• Basic Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and internet navigation, as well as basic data entry skills 

• Good interpersonal skills 

Preferred: 

• SAP experience is a plus 

Skills: Looking for experience in food manufacturing, industrial kitchen, pilot-scale operations, or GMP environments 

Position requires working onsite in Brecksville, Ohio.
