Job Summary The P ilot Plant Research Technician works collaboratively with the pilot plant team, engineering, operations, and R&D scientists to execute technical programs in compliance with EHS policies. This role also supports maintenance activities and contributes to Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives for pilot plant assets and capabilities. The position reports directly to the Product and Process R&D Manager. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain pilot-scale and other scientific equipment to support routine and non-routine tasks and experiments. Execute experimental R&D programs and related support services in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and EHS compliance. Troubleshoot and repair pilot plant assets within scope of authority. Maintain accurate and updated records of experiments using JM-approved methods. Drive EHS improvements, good housekeeping practices, and CI initiatives. Participate in technical and safety reviews for projects. Collaborate daily with project leaders to understand experimental objectives and translate them into pilot-scale experiments. Develop and update SOPs, maintain specifications, and ensure calibration of equipment, instrumentation, and contract services. Perform additional duties as requested, including waste management, material procurement, shipments, and housekeeping. Work independently within established procedures and resolve day-to-day technical issues. Participate in EHS programs and trainings as required . Required Qualifications Strong technical background with hands-on experience in operating and maintaining scientific or pilot-scale equipment. Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment within scope of authority. Proven record of maintaining accurate experimental documentation. Demonstrated commitment to EHS compliance and continuous improvement. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Preferred Qualifications (if any) Prio r experience in a pilot plant or R&D environment. Familiarity with SOP development and equipment calibration. Experience collaborating across engineering, operations, and R&D teams. Certifications (if any) EHS-related certifications or training (preferred). Education: Associate's Degree
