Role Summary:

The Pilot Records Data & Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring the compliance and accuracy of pilot records and data for the Chief Pilot’s Office at Horizon Air. As an individual contributor, this role administers Pilot Records Database (PRD) processes, ensuring accurate entry, maintenance, and review of pilot records in compliance with FAA requirements. This role also provides in person administrative support at the crew room in the SeaTac airport and Horizon’s corporate headquarters.  

Key Duties:
  • Take initiative to ensure the compliance and accuracy of pilot records and data for the Chief Pilot’s Office (CPO) at Horizon Air. 
  • Administers Pilot Records Database (PRD) processes, ensuring accurate entry, maintenance, and review of pilot records in compliance with FAA requirements. 
  • Manage and administer all aspects of data management within POSSUM (QX Pilot database). 
  • Make recommendations to, and collaborate with, Finance and Crew Pay to ensure accurate payouts and recording of Pilot Bonus Program in compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) guidelines. 
  • With minimal direction from leadership, exercise considerable judgement to identify and make decisions based on compliance expectations to develop and implement CPO processes. 
  • Apply deep knowledge of CBA to ensure current processes & procedures are compliant with the administration of Pilot Pre-Awards, Pilot Bonus Program, and vacation bidding.  
  • Partner with Onboarding and Employee Data Management to receive pilot new hire information for compilation and distribution to key departments within Flight Operations division.  
  • Support the CPO with leaves of Absence (LOA) data compilation and analysis. 
  • Manage projects, provide administrative support, and ensure successful completion of all required procedures for CPO leadership and the Flight Ops division. 
  • Track and approve pilot expense reimbursements.  
  • Track and record pilot deadhead seating compensation requests.  
Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills:

Required 

  • A minimum of 2 years of administrative experience supporting any of the following: contract administration, data management, crew support. 
  • A bachelor’s degree or an additional 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree. 
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly evaluate situations, develop an accurate understanding, and develop plans responsive to those situations. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (e.g., verbal, written, presentation) skills to create collaborative relationships that drive outcomes in the best interest of the company, with others in the organization, and with key external business partners.  
  • Superior problem solving, planning, organizational, and analytical skills. 
  • Exceptional integrity with impeccable ethics in safety and compliance. 
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized. Able to execute on multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines. Work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment where flexibility is key. 
  • Must be able to work on-site at Sea-Tac Airport and Horizon corporate headquarters. 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Port of Seattle badge.  
  • High school diploma or equivalent.  
  • Minimum age of 18. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.  

Preferred 

  • 2 years contract administration or compliance experience.

Salary Range: $57,800 --- $86,700 / year Salary Details:

Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon employees. Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.

 

Note: We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
