Revenue Cycle Lead – PIP/No-Fault Billing

Location: Clifton, NJ
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Salary: $80,000–$100,000/year

Job Summary

Growing specialty surgical practice seeking a PIP Lead – Revenue Cycle Operations to support Personal Injury Protection (PIP), no-fault billing, and revenue cycle operations.

This role is ideal for an experienced PIP billing specialist, revenue cycle lead, medical billing supervisor, or senior RCM professional with strong knowledge of PIP/no-fault claims, surgical billing, authorizations, denials, and collections.

The PIP Lead will provide workflow support, team guidance, training assistance, and escalation management while helping improve reimbursement outcomes for complex surgical accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Support daily operations for PIP billing, verification, authorization, and claims follow-up teams
  • Train, mentor, and provide workflow guidance to team members
  • Review complex PIP/no-fault accounts and assist with escalations
  • Manage claim follow-up, denials, appeals, underpayments, and A/R issues
  • Support surgical verification, authorizations, and financial clearance processes
  • Communicate with attorneys, adjusters, insurance carriers, and internal teams
  • Track Letters of Protection (LOPs), itemized statements, arbitration, and litigation-related accounts
  • Identify revenue cycle issues and recommend process improvements

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in medical billing, revenue cycle management, claims follow-up, or PIP billing
  • Strong knowledge of PIP/no-fault billing, auto insurance, liability claims, and reimbursement processes
  • Experience with surgical billing, authorizations, denials, and appeals preferred
  • Experience handling A/R aging, collections, and claim resolution
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to train and support billing team members

Preferred Experience
  • Orthopedic, spine, surgical, or specialty practice billing
  • Personal injury billing / PIP accounts
  • Revenue cycle leadership or team lead experience
