Conduct and oversee hydronic piping projects related to the installation of large-scale commercial and
industrial HVAC system components on new construction and tenant finish job sites.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Perform layout and installation of carbon steel, black iron, stainless steel, and other HVAC-related
steel piping systems.
• Join steel piping professionally utilizing non-welded mechanical techniques, including grooved
(Victaulic), threaded, flanged, and press-fit systems.
• Install hydronic HVAC systems and components (such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and
pumps) in a variety of building types and locations.
• Coordinate labor and field operations for the installation of hydronic systems in an efficient,
controlled manner.
• Work with general contractors and other trades to facilitate the installation of commercial HVAC
systems and to ensure acceptable job progress.
• Adhere to industry and company standards regarding safety, building codes, and installation
practices while on the jobsite.
• Measure and order materials needed for the successful completion of piping projects.
• Train new helpers through example and demonstration.
• Provide clear directions to mechanics and helpers to facilitate the timely completion of tasks.
• Operate multiple types of equipment (such as threading machines, grooving tools, scissor lifts,
and ladders) related to the installation of HVAC systems.

REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 1+ years of welding on TIG, MIG, and ARC.
Computer Skills: N/A
Certificates & Licenses: Valid Texas Driver's License
Other: Ability to read and understand mechanical and architectural plans as related to HVAC
systems; working knowledge of HVAC systems, their components and functions.
