Work includes carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping; pipe supports; valves; flanges; equipment connections; and layout for process, utility, steam, and other industrial piping systems. Candidates should be comfortable reading isometric drawings, P&IDs, and fabrication plans while performing field installation, fit-up, and alignment around industrial equipment.Essential Functions:Interprets sketches, blue prints and isometric drawingsCleans, bevels, prepares and installs pipe with various fittings and weld jointsPerforms layout, rigging and transportation of pipe, valves and fittingsInstalls pipe and related materials and equipmentInspects worksite to determine presence of obstructionsPlans sequence on installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workersCuts pipe using, pipe cutter, cutting torch and pipe cutting machineThreads pipe using threading machineSecures pipes to structure with bracket, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power toolsTests piping systemsLoads, transports and unloads material, tools, equipment and suppliesAssists in lifting, positioning and securing of material and work pieces during installationMaintains tools and equipmentRelies on pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the jobPerforms other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibility: NoRequired:3-5 years' experience as a pipe fitter; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experienceMust be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skillsMust adhere to all company policy and proceduresMust be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assignedThe work environment and physical demands required would be representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, and may include, but are not limited to the following:Work Environment:May work in varying temperatures; both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold, and dampnessMay work in areas with exposure to moderate/high noise levelsMay be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including dustMay be required to work in confined spaces or from high heightsPhysical Demands:This role routinely uses construction equipment such as heavy machinery, hand and power toolsWhile performing duties of the job the employee may work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.Frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and armsMust be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focusTravel:May require travel Preferred:NCCER certifiedPrior military experienceHS diploma or GED equivalentVisit us at www.acibuilds.com for more information!Final compensation will be determined based on applicable experience, education, licensure, skills, and other relevant factorsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer--Pipe Fitter - Industrial Construction
