Get ready to unearth your true potential and dig into the exciting world of HEI CivilWe are looking to hire an experienced Pipe Layer to join our team PipelayerTopman is responsible for assisting with pipe installation to ensure optimal productivity construction standards and safety compliance. The Pipelayer will assist with the layout assembly and installation of water storm and sewer systems of various sizes and types.ResponsibilitiesSet proper grades and elevations i.e. flowline grade stick string line.Check slopes for conformance to grading elevations using levels or lasers.Connect the bell and spigot sewer and water pipelines.Cover pipes with aggregate and native material and compact.Hand digs bell holes to verify the locations of existing utilities.Grade and level trench bases using tamping machines and hand tools.Install and repair water stormwater and sewer structures and pipe systems within trench shoring shields.Lay out pipe routes following written instructions or blueprints and coordinating layouts with supervisors.Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent all unsafe actions processes and behaviors.Ability to take direction from the Foreman and provide support to peers.Work safely while adhering to HSS requirements and OSHA regulations.Maintain dependability and responsibility to be at work on time.Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesGeneral knowledge of underground utility work including materials methods and tools involved in the installation.Track record of performing similar tasks safely and accurately.Ability to repetitively lift and carry at least 60 lbs consistently.Must have the flexibility to work some Saturdays.Comfort working in a high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations.High level of self-motivation and strong work ethic.Attention to detail.Maintain and promote a safe working environment.An individual must be flexible dependable and able to communicate effectively with the team.Education and ExperienceEducation High school diploma or GED.Experience At least 1 year of experience preferred.
