Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- 6 or more years of related experience.
- Working knowledge of dynamic analysis and ASME B31.3 or B31.1 Codes.
- Prior experience using the pipe stress analysis program, Bentley AutoPipe.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. Citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
- Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to, testing for marijuana use.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Previous DoD project experience.
- EIT or PE Registration.
Key Duties:
- Perform pipe stress analysis of piping systems in accordance with ASME B31.3 Code.
- Model piping systems to verify flexibility, stability, and qualification of equipment nozzle loads.
- Collaborate with layout personnel and pipe support engineers to ensure quality and cost-effective designs.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as needed.
- Apply standard plant design and piping engineering methods, using independent judgment for adaptations and modifications.
- Participate in design reviews and recommend approval of drawings and data for compliance with requirements.
- Analyze conflicting design requirements and develop potential solutions.
- Evaluate the suitability of unconventional materials, techniques, or coordination requirements.
- Coordinate plant design engineering activities with specialty groups, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
