Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pipe Tester for our client close to Decatur, AL. You will perform a variety of operational functions in various types of weld preparation, welding as and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings and specifications. This is a great opportunity to work with a leading automotive manufacturer while building your long-term career.
Responsibilities.
- Must have some welding knowledge.
- Must be able to perform visual inspection using basic measuring tools.
- Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
- Must have attention to detail will be testing pipes and looking for leaks.
- Maintain work area in clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
- Must have a working command of the English language and be able to communicate orally and in writing
Requirements
- Ability to perform essential duties
- Minimum some welding Knowledge
- Ability to perform essential duties
- High School Diploma/GED or graduation from certified technical school.
- Must accurately read tape measure (assessment given).
- Strong work ethic, good attendance, and ability to follow instructions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work occasional overtime.
- Steel-toed boots required.
- Must pass background & drug screening.
