Pipe Welder - Data Center

BlueWave is hiring a Stainless Steel TIG Pipe Welder for an industrial construction client based in South Texas. As a Stainless Steel TIG Pipe Welder, you will perform precision GTAW/TIG welding on stainless steel piping, including light- and thin-wall materials that require careful heat control. You will prepare piping, interpret technical drawings, collaborate with pipefitters, and maintain weld quality throughout installation.

Responsibilities

• Perform GTAW/TIG welding on stainless steel pipe
• Complete precision welds on light- and thin-wall stainless materials
• Prepare and fit piping for welding
• Read and interpret welding drawings and specifications
• Coordinate with pipefitters during fabrication and installation
• Use pipe fabrication, preparation, and precision measurement tools
• Inspect completed work and maintain required weld quality
• Complete required weld qualification testing

Requirements

• Professional pipe-welding experience
• Recent GTAW/TIG welding experience
• Experience welding stainless steel pipe
• Ability to weld light- or thin-wall stainless materials
• Ability to control heat and maintain quality during precision welding
• Ability to read welding drawings and specifications
• Ability to pass required weld testing
• Ability to work approximately 60–72 hours per week
• Availability for a 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m. shift
• Preferred experience with stainless process piping, high-purity piping, semiconductor, or other precision industrial environments

Employment Type: 13-week contract-to-hire position, 100% on-site in South Texas
