Pipe Welder & Maintenance Technician Location: Chattanooga, TN Pay Rate: $24.00 - $30.00 (Depending on experience) Position OverviewSpotlight Staff is seeking experienced Pipe Welders with strong maintenance skills to join a growing industrial operation in Chattanooga, TN. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in pipe welding, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting in an industrial or manufacturing environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welds while assisting with the maintenance and repair of equipment to ensure efficient operations. Responsibilities
Perform pipe welding using approved welding techniques and procedures.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding specifications.
Fabricate, fit, and install piping systems and components as needed.
Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment and machinery.
Perform preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
Diagnose mechanical issues and replace or repair defective components.
Use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records when required.
Follow all company policies, OSHA regulations, and safety procedures.
Support production and maintenance teams with additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous pipe welding experience is required.
Maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is strongly preferred.
Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
Knowledge of preventative maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
Experience with fabrication, fitting, and pipe installation is a plus.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are essential.
