Pipe Welder & Maintenance Technician
Location: Chattanooga, TN
Pay Rate: $24.00 - $30.00 (Depending on experience) 
Position OverviewSpotlight Staff is seeking experienced Pipe Welders with strong maintenance skills to join a growing industrial operation in Chattanooga, TN. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in pipe welding, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting in an industrial or manufacturing environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welds while assisting with the maintenance and repair of equipment to ensure efficient operations.
Responsibilities
  • Perform pipe welding using approved welding techniques and procedures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding specifications.
  • Fabricate, fit, and install piping systems and components as needed.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and replace or repair defective components.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records when required.
  • Follow all company policies, OSHA regulations, and safety procedures.
  • Support production and maintenance teams with additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous pipe welding experience is required.
  • Maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Experience with fabrication, fitting, and pipe installation is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are essential.
