Pipefitter Helper / Laborer

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring motivated Pipefitter Helpers / Laborers for projects located in or around Houston, TX.  This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $20-$26/hour based on experience and skill level.  If you are a Helper or Laborer and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:        

• Pipefitter Helpers:
  • Installing,  aligning and laying underground storm pipe drainage systems and water lines
  • Assisting with trench preparation, grading and pipe placement 
  • Replace damaged or existing wet utility piping and assist with tie-ins to existing systems
  • Read grade stakes, follow site plans and work safely around excavation equipment
  • Use hand tools, pipe lasers and other equipment to support underground utility installation
• General Laborer:
  • Assisting crews with installing underground pipe for storm drains and water utility systems
  • Loading/unloading, moving and staging piping materials, fittings and tools around the job-site
  • Help clean trenches, prepare work areas and support pipe placement activities
  • Perform general labor duties including site cleanup, digging and assisting operators as needed
  • Maintain safe work practices and follow directions from supervisors and foremen on-site
    
    

Requirements:

• Must pass a drug scree
• Must pass a background check
