The Pipefitter is responsible for comprehending and utilizing blueprints, sketches, drawings, technical manuals, and work process instructions in order to measure, cut, thread and bend pipe (of multiple material types) to required shape using hand and power tools. This position must also have the ability to install prepared pipe into systems. While performing some duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Must wear hearing, eye, head protection and proper PPE when required.
