    Overview

    We are seeking a skilled a Fitter/Welder to join our Piping team. This vital role involves fabricating, installing, and maintaining piping systems across various projects, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and industry codes. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret complex technical drawings.     Position Requirements

    Responsibilities

    • Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and install piping systems.
    • Perform pipe welding using MIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG, and welding techniques to meet project specifications.
    • Cut, thread, bend, assemble, and install pipes for various applications .
    • Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, pipe threading machines, tube bending equipment, and rigging gear safely and effectively.
    • Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations such as NFPA standards and ASME codes & standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
    • Conduct maintenance and repairs on existing piping systems to ensure optimal operation.
    • Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings, construction plans, and specifications for efficient project execution.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience in pipefitting, pipe welding (MIG, FCAW, TIG), and fabrication within construction or industrial settings.
    • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, technical drawing interpretation, and construction plans.
    • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, calipers, soldering techniques, and tube bending tools.
    • Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of pipeline systems and installation procedures.
    • Familiarity with safety regulations including NFPA standards for fire protection systems and OSHA safety protocols.
    • Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and pipe sizing.
    • Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety protocol adherence and teamwork.
