Pay: $35.00 per hour.

Sign-on bonus: $2,500.

Location: Dallas VA Medical Center, 4500 S. Lancaster Rd, Dallas, TX 75216

Schedule: Not to exceed 40 hours per week, between 7:30AM-4:00PM.

Responsibilities:

• This requirement is to provide pipefitter for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of plumbing, steam, gas, and medical facility systems, including water distribution, drainage, sterilizers, laundry and dietetic equipment, steam systems, and medical gases. 
• The employee must be a journeyman pipefitter with at least four (4) years of experience, capable of reading blueprints and following standard codes and safety practices.
• Work is assigned by a foreman but carried out independently with occasional spot checks, and the employee may supervise helpers when needed. 
• The job requires frequent physical exertion—standing, bending, and working in cramped areas—with exposure to cuts, bruises, odors, and infectious risks. 
• Duties are performed both indoors and outdoors, including in basements, kitchens, and manholes. 

Qualifications:

• OSHA Certification.
• Texas state plumbers/pipefitters license.
• Experience in painting.
