New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources is seeking a Pipeline Integrity Records Analyst to review and analyze records as mandated by 49CFR 192 for NJNGs natural gas transmission system. Search for existing pipeline records in electronic and paper formats as well as maintain future records as they become available to ensure that company system(s) of record meet the spirit of having traceable, verifiable and complete records as required.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze various types of records associated with our transmission system components and pipe to ensure Traceable, Verifiable and Complete records meet the requirements of 49CFR 192
  • Identify and search for records that are necessary to support NJNGs MAOP (Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure) Reconfirmation requirements as mandated by Federal Code Requirements.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure the GIS system remains accurate, current, and reliable.
  • Manage electronic data records and ensure accurate integration into Pipeline Integrity database systems.
  • Maintain working knowledge of NJNG standards, including pipeline construction, inspection, cathodic protection, coating practices, and the Standard Operating & Maintenance Environment (SOME).
  • Conduct site inspections, as needed, to obtain and validate field data and records.
  • Recommend standards for integrity management practices and provide technical guidance across departments.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes, drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain Operator Qualifications (OQ) as required for the Pipeline Integrity function.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment by adhering to company safety policies and utilizing required safety equipment.
  • Foster an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
  • Provide general support to team members and assist with additional duties as needed.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required, preferably in a related field.
  • At least 2 prior years' experience in an office environment (internship or full-time) with exposure to a variety of responsibilities is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; advanced Excel skills, including modeling experience, is preferred.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and accuracy skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
  • Travel Requirements: Exposure to field conditions within our service territory. There may be seldom training opportunities that would require out of state overnight stay(s). 20%

This position is deemed safety-sensitive under the U.S. Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration's (PHMSA) regulations. Among other things, employees in this position are subject to drug and alcohol testing, including pre-employment testing, random testing, reasonable suspicion testing and post-accident testing. PHMSA-required drug tests include testing for marijuana. The use of marijuana, or testing positive for marijuana, is disqualifying and will lead to removal from performing safety-sensitive functions as well as disciplinary action.

Other Details:

Compensation: Expected base pay range for this role will be $64,000 to $86,500.

Base pay is based on several factors including, experience, skills, and knowledge.

This role will be eligible to participate in an annual short term incentive program.
