POSITION OVERVIEW:
Targa is currently seeking an Engineer to serve as a Pipeline Project Manager and join our team in the Houston Corporate office. The Engineer will be accountable for the overall project execution, coordination, implementation, direction, control, and completion of assigned projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Required: BS Engineering
Experience Required: Minimum of 7+ years of industry related experience as a Project Engineer or similar role
Experience Preferred: 10 -15 years of field experience working within the Oil & Gas or Hydrocarbon Processing industries
Experience in transportation pipeline operations; involving outdoor pipeline work.
Provides active coaching and mentoring to Project Engineers and/or Coordinators assigned to him/her. Takes an ACTIVE role in developing their skills and progressing them professionally.
Be detail focused, organized, self-motivated and customer focused
Organizes and develops highly functional and effective project teams.
Works to instill a sense of project ownership and accountability in the project team.
Identifies opportunities for team member improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change.
Coordinates and works with other departments (Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Finance and Accounting) to ensure the timely delivery of quality goods and services which meet or exceed our customer's expectations.
Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures.
Deep knowledge of DOT 192 and 195 regulations
Comfortable providing feedback to team members
Regular and reliable attendance
