Overview
We are seeking a Piping Stress Analyst Engineer to join our team.
Job duties:
Perform pipe stress evaluation of piping systems in accordance with ASME Section III, Div.1, and/or ASME B31.1/B31.3 code requirements, including thermal, time-history, fatigue, seismic, linear and non-linear analyses nuclear power plants systems
Prepare engineering computations and analyses using applicable software (e.g., PIPESTRESS, MathCAD, GT STRUDL).
Review of technical documents and drawings (e.g. General Arrangement, Isometrics, pipe supports, flow diagrams and P&ID), calculations, design/analysis reports, design requirements, design manuals, bill of materials, design specifications, technical specifications, data sheets, etc.
Support the preparation of TSSA CRN registration packages for pressure boundary systems.
Function as technical interface with client, suppliers, inter-discipline engineering teams, construction partners and project management groups
Perform site visits to client and supplier shops as required. Support field construction and execution activities, as needed (may include site visits).
Perform engineering work following AtkinsRéalis/Candu Energy QA programs, and applicable codes, standards, and regulation requirements
Requirements:
Engineering Degree in Mechanical from an accredited university or equivalent degree as recognized by Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is required.
5-10 years' experience in piping Stress Analysis and piping supports design using PIPESTRESS and GT STRUDL for nuclear power plants balance of plant or heavy industries.
English
PEO Registration: Registered or eligible to be registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.
Codes and Standards : Working knowledge of CSA N285, CSA N289, CSA B51, ASME Section III, ASME B31.1, ASME Section VIII, ASCE, NBCC, AISC, and other applicable codes, standards or regulatory guides related to nuclear power plants
Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Security: Eligible to obtain Security Clearances through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) is mandatory (for Candu internal and Client organization).

Permanent, Full time (37.5 hours per week)
Offered salary range: 124,000 to 135,000 CAD/year

Employment location : Mississauga, Ontario. Occasionally, may be required to work at site (i.e., Darlington, Ontario) for short periods of time.
