Job DetailsAs a Piping Superintendent , you will provide field leadership for mechanical piping installations on large commercial construction projects. You will oversee manpower, production, safety, quality, scheduling, and coordination while working closely with project management, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades.
What You'll Do:
- Lead, manage, and develop piping/mechanical field crews
- Plan and direct daily production for contracted scopes of work
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and project schedules
- Oversee installation of hydronic and mechanical piping systems
- Coordinate work with the GC, subcontractors, inspectors, and other trades
- Identify and resolve field conflicts before they impact production
- Ensure installations meet project specifications, quality standards, and applicable mechanical/plumbing codes
- Maintain strong safety standards and jobsite best practices
- Monitor field productivity and keep projects on schedule
- Build strong working relationships with customers and project stakeholders
What We're Looking For:
- 5-10+ years of mechanical/piping field leadership experience
- Proven experience running significant scopes on multimillion-dollar commercial projects
- Strong experience with hydronic piping systems
- Experience with chillers, boilers, water-source heat pumps, and associated piping systems
- Strong knowledge of IMC, IPC, IBC, local codes, and construction safety requirements
- Ability to effectively manage manpower, production, materials, and schedules
- Journeyman or Master Mechanical/Plumbing license preferred
- OSHA 30 preferred
- Experience with plumbing systems and/or HVAC air distribution is a plus
- Familiarity with Bluebeam, Procore, BIM 360, Fieldwire, OpenSpace, or similar construction technology preferred
- Ability to travel to project sites throughout the US as needed
