PIT Sit-Down Forklift

Job Summary
The forklift positions require candidates to drive within the warehouse, moving product as well as loading and unloading trucks.

Essential Functions

• Safely operates forklifts and other industrial vehicles as needed for the efficient transportation of goods.
• Handles loading and unloading of materials onto/from vehicles, ensuring safe transportation.
• Uses assigned tools and equipment to track and manage stock levels within a warehouse setting.
• Inspects forklifts and reports any maintenance or performance concerns.
• Follows all health and safety protocols and standard operating procedures for safe transportation and operations.
• Stacks and organizes materials systematically to maximize storage space and accessibility.
• Inspects loads before transportation to confirms proper securing, balance and safety.
• Works collaboratively with warehouse and logistics to ensure accurate, safe and timely material movement.
• Other duties, as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• 2+ years of recent forklift operations experience
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to work unsupervised and within a team setting.

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Forklift operator certification.

Job Type: Temp-to-hire

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
