Major Food Group is hiring Pizza Cooks to join our team at Contessa!

Contessa, inspired by the old-world resorts and the lasting estates of Italy, features cuisine embodying the effortless elegance of the Trattorias of Northern Italy. Offering all-day dining with breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner and perfectly crafted cocktails, the menus showcase a range of selections from imported salumi and house made fresh pasta to dry aged Chianina Beef.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

\n

\n

• Prepare pizza menu offerings in accordance with recipe and quality standards \n
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station in accordance with health standards \n
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion \n
• Stock inventory appropriately \n
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Sous Chef & Chef de Cuisine \n

\nREQUIREMENTS

\n

\n

• Experience in pizza production and knowledge of variety and regionality of italian pizza \n
• Previous experience working with wood burning oven, convection oven and other commercial kitchen equipment \n
• Culinary diploma or equivalent in experience strongly preferred \n
• Strong communication skills a must \n
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs \n
• Ability to work on-site for assigned schedule including nights, weekends and holidays \n
