Position Overview:
The Pizzaiolo is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting pizzas to Farina’s high standards. This role requires expertise in pizza dough handling, topping preparation, and oven management, as well as a commitment to quality, consistency, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to Farina recipes and quality standards.
- Stretch and shape dough, add toppings, and manage cooking times for optimal results.
- Monitor pizza ovens to maintain proper temperature and cooking efficiency.
- Ensure all pizzas are visually appealing and meet presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pizza station and kitchen area.
- Assist with prep work, including sauce, cheese, and ingredient preparation.
- Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely service.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Pizzaiolo, Line Cook, or in a similar kitchen role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pizza preparation, oven management, and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
