Plaintiff-Side Attorney (Case Evaluation / Non-Litigation Role)

This is not an administrative intake position. It is a substantive, high-level case evaluation opportunity within a busy and established plaintiff-side law firm.

$150,000–$200,000

We are seeking an experienced plaintiff-side Personal Injury and/or Workers' Compensation attorney who wants to continue applying their legal knowledge and case evaluation skills without the demands of active litigation.

This is a unique opportunity for an attorney who loves the substance of Personal Injury and Workers' Compensation law but is ready to step away from depositions, discovery, court appearances, and managing an active litigation caseload.

We need someone who knows what makes a case worth pursuing, can quickly recognize potential problems, and has the legal judgment to make sound recommendations regarding new matters.

The Opportunity

Rather than litigating cases, you will focus on evaluating them.

You will be on the front end of our practice, assessing prospective claims, identifying high-value opportunities, and helping determine which matters our firm should accept.

This is a fast-paced, high-volume position requiring strong analytical skills, efficient decision-making, and substantial experience with plaintiff-side injury litigation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate a high volume of prospective Personal Injury and Workers' Compensation cases.
• Assess liability, damages, injury severity, medical treatment, insurance coverage, and overall case viability.
• Identify high-value claims, complex liability issues, and potential obstacles to recovery.
• Recognize third-party liability, additional causes of action, and potential referral opportunities.
• Conduct substantive conversations with prospective clients to establish critical facts and assess their potential claims.
• Make informed case-selection recommendations based on legal merit, potential recovery, and overall case value.
• Work directly with attorneys and firm leadership to ensure strong cases are identified and advanced efficiently.
• Help maintain the quality and consistency of new matters entering our practice.

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate is an experienced plaintiff-side attorney who understands the difference between a case that sounds promising and one that is actually worth pursuing.

• Substantial experience practicing Personal Injury and/or Workers' Compensation law on the plaintiff side.
• Strong understanding of liability, causation, damages, insurance coverage, and case valuation.
• Ability to recognize valuable claims and potential complications early in the evaluation process.
• Excellent client communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Comfortable making timely, well-reasoned assessments in a high-volume environment.
• Strong professional judgment and the ability to work independently.

We are especially interested in speaking with attorneys who have spent years handling injury cases and would welcome an opportunity to use that experience in a different capacity.
